Artist Statement

           My Name is Christian Ryan and I was originally born in Georgia. Throughout my life I have moved and lived in 4 different states, which have their own geographical attributes. Living in the Corn stalks of Iowa, Trees of Georgia, Mountains of North Carolina, and now the Plains of Kansas, being in all these positions has given me such a different perspective of art and the beauty it has to offer. The photos you're going to see today aren’t a particular type of style, but range from pictures of cars, people, nature, lights, and even food. Art to me represents a reflection of our innermost emotions, and is a way to express yourself to the world. It can help people feel empathy, or even create a bridge of understanding thoughts. These photos represent lots of hard work and dedication over this semester, and my biggest inspiration for getting these amazing shots would be the outcome of looking at it and really seeing how beautiful life can be when it's caught on film.
